Check these pictures out:

The tagline is: Less wrinkles in only 10 minutes.

The company is Dermitage. The ad was on MSNBC.

Their website then says: Look years younger in 60 minutes. Wait a minute, I thought it was 10 minutes? If their product really does what these pictures show, I’d give them a buffalo nickel. But you know what? I can really get you less wrinkles in 10 minutes:

It’s called Photoshop in the hands of a skilled graphic artist. ;)

The first thing that I thought of when I read your post was Dove’s current Campaign For Real Beauty campaign. Remember the amazing “Evolution” video that was all over the internet a little while ago? They just released a second video titled “Onslaught.”

What planet is the older lady from? I like the “simulated imagery” note. I swear, marketers and their “honesty”.

Wow… those are stock photos! Well, the after ones are anyway. Looks like they took the stock photos and PhotoShopped them to add wrinkles, so the before is actually the after. The irony.

Reminds me of the IGIA Clear acne removal tool. They actually had the gall to claim it instantly removed zits just by touching the tip to your skin. They even showed an obviously fake “real-time” zit removal from on of their models. They sold thousands (yep, there were that many gullible people) before getting busted by the FTC.

IGIA, failing to learn their lesson, came out with a fake electric hair removal tool soon thereafter:

The crazy thing is both products are still selling.

It continues to sell because practically everyone is looking for the quick fix and most don’t bother to do the research to see what the “real” people who have tried the product have to say.

I’ve seen this ad on many sites and everyone is commenting on it.. that leads me to think that the ad is working because it is getting noticed
